About

Check me in under a minute

I am Nguyễn Minh Tâm— one person, doing the work directly. This page has no client list. It has my public repositories instead: open one and you can read it — real code, real tests, real Dockerfiles. That is the only thing here you do not have to take on trust.

Who you work with

Who writes the code on your project

I hold a Bachelor of Information Technology and an MSc in Computer Science from Can Tho University, with an AI focus: machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision. Across those eight years, most of the work has been TypeScript, JavaScript and C++.

I am in Vinh Long, in the Mekong Delta. What I build fits small and mid-sized businesses around here — agriculture, food processing, light manufacturing — where the system in place is usually a few off-the-shelf tools stitched together by hand and by spreadsheet.

I work with you from the first call to handover: the same person writes the scope, the same person writes the code, the same person does the handover. There is no project manager in between, and nobody receives a handoff from me.

Why one person

Why one person, and why you can check

A large software firm may well do good work, and can take on more of it in parallel than I can. The difference is not quality — it is checkability. A normal portfolio gives you exactly one thing: a request for a reference. Here you get to read the code.

  • 01

    There is no handoff

Your requirement is not translated through three internal meetings before it reaches the code. The person who understood it writes the first line.

  • 02

    You talk to whoever decides

I agree the scope, I send the quote, I take the change requests. Nothing has to travel through another person to reach you.

  • 03

    You check before you trust

My GitHub account is public. You can read the code, the tests and how I containerise it before you call me — and long before you pay a cent.

The ORCID record 0009-0003-1151-7021 — kept by a third-party registry, not declared on this website. It lists my name, Vietnam, and the MSc in Computer Science at Can Tho University (Nov 2021 – Apr 2024).

Where to start

For a system that actually runs, open viact: a NestJS REST API with JWT and Swagger, TypeORM migrations, Jest and Cypress tests, running under Docker Compose. For the C++ side, open OptimizedGASDemo. You do not have to take my word for how I write code.

Proof

Public source code, in place of testimonials

I have no client names to put here, and I will not invent them. What I do have is 17 public repositories. These are the ones worth opening, with the year and a direct link — they run, they are not screenshots.

A full-stack application: a NestJS REST API with JWT and Swagger, a React front end, MySQL with TypeORM migrations, Jest and Cypress tests, running under Docker. This is the one to read if you need a system that actually runs.

Where things stand

What is proven, and what is still developing

I say up front what I cannot yet show you, so you do not have to guess.

  • 01

    Full-stack web — the core

This is what I do most, and it is the part with repositories behind it: a NestJS API, a React front end, MySQL, automated tests, running under Docker.

  • 02

Game development — the new line

Unreal Engine 5 and C++ are a direction I opened recently, with no client work behind them. I treat it as a serious learning track, not a service I am selling.

  • 03

AI — moving from coursework to applied work

My MSc focuses on machine learning, NLP and computer vision. I am moving from coursework toward work that runs and can be measured. What I take on is the integration, the measurement and the operation — not a pre-trained model.

  • 04

    One person has real limits

I only take on as many projects as I can still write, test and hand over myself. Take on more and one of them gets worse work — and you are the one living with the consequences.

What I do not take on

There is work I will turn down

A no here is information, not a courtesy. If one of these describes your project, someone else may well do it better than I will, and you will save both of us the time.

  • Not a fit

    Cybersecurity and compliance certification

I do not provide cybersecurity services and I do not certify against ISO or SOC 2. If that is a mandatory line in your procurement paperwork, I am the wrong supplier.

  • Not a fit

    Enterprise-scale systems

I do not take on systems that need several people on them at once, multiple trust domains, or layered distributed architecture. That is a team with an architect's job.

  • Not a fit

    Anything needing 24/7 cover

I do not sell a one-hour response commitment for a system with one maintainer. My support agreements state a business-hours response window.

  • Not a fit

    A system with no API

I integrate through APIs; I do not take another party's data without permission. If a system has no API, I run a paid feasibility spike first — and if the spike says it will not work, I say no.

  • Not a fit

    Data warehouses and data platforms

I do not build warehouses or data platforms. That is a separate discipline, and people who do only that are better at it than I am.

  • Not a fit

    A general-purpose AI assistant

An assistant that answers anything is not a product. I take it on when there is one specific, high-volume process with a result you can measure.

Start with a short call

On that call I ask about your process, and you ask me anything — including questions about the repositories above. If I am not the right fit, I will say so.
